Mindful Mark Making in Mixed Media

from $15.00

This is now a self-paced workshop, and links to recorded videos will be emailed after purchase.

Life can be pretty busy and chaotic, and even when we get a moment to sit down and relax, we often find ourselves mindlessly flipping channels on the tv or scrolling through social media. What if we channeled that time into a mindful activity that helped us clear our minds, refocus our energy, and come back to our center, all while we made and created?

In this all-day, mixed media workshop, we’ll do just that, as we focus on a variety of mark making activities using a range of materials that will bring us back to the present moment and allow us to create richly layered pieces of art. Join me for a day of creative mindfulness and reenergize your artmaking.

This was originally a live class where we met through Zoom. It is now a self-paced workshop.

This is pay-what-you-can workshop, so please select what you would like to pay below. Once you pay, I will email you with links and a password to the archived videos, typically within 24 hrs of purchase. This will be a separate email that I send out personally, and it is different from the order confirmation that you will receive automatically after purchase.

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper - use any paper you like, I like Strathmore 400 series mixed media paper for stand alone pieces. Or use a journal or sketchbook. Also, have a variety of other papers, as well, like craft paper, tracing paper, drawing paper.

  • Paint - watercolor and/or acrylic will both work. I’ll be using both watercolor paint and acrylic paint.

  • Variety of paint brushes

  • Glue Stick - I like UHU, but if you’re using acrylic paint, acrylic gel medium is a great adhesive
